Almighty & everliving God,
you sent your only Son into the world to cast out the power of Satan, spirit of evil,
to rescue man from the kingdom of darkness,
and bring him into the splendor of your kingdom of light...

Steps for Holy Baptism

For adults 18 years and older, enroll in OCIA.

For children 7 to 17 years of age, enroll them in Hook & Net by calling the parish office.

For infants and children under the age of 7:

  1. Baptisms are celebrated as a rule on the 3rd Sunday of every month immediately after the 10:30am Mass.

  2. Parents & godparents must attend a Baptismal preparation class. The parish hosts these in January, March, May, July, September, and November. The class runs from 10am to noon. Please call the parish office to register for the class.

  3. All canonical paperwork, including a copy of your child's birth certificate must be complete and turned in 2 weeks prior to the celebration of Holy Baptism.

  4. You are encouraged to choose two godparents (only one godfather and one godmother). Godparents stand as a representative of the Catholic Church at Baptism and provide parents with support in raising their children in the Catholic faith. Those with only one godparent are permitted to choose a non-Catholic Christian to serve as a Christian witness. According to canon law, godparents, without exception, must be:

  • over 16 years old

  • not the parents of the person to be baptized

  • have received Baptism, Confirmation, and the Eucharist.
